Is there any news about other hardware (eg, wifi) in it working? Is that testable at this stage?
At the very least, this is encouraging. We can look at the freebsd driver if need be.
Has anyone been able to determine what would be involved in fixing this?
Is it a minor revision on another chip we already have drivers for, or will this need a whole new driver?.
