Just got done installing Linux Mint after much debate, and it does run a hell of a lot cooler. My laptop runs at 140*F on LiveCD and 104*F...

So consensus says this is correct. But 30(!) degrees more?

The only thing holding me back from moving to Ubuntu is the lack of support for the Nike+ Ipod kit. As far as I can tell, nobody has got it to work sans wine or dual booting windows.
