Whilst I don't actually use it for my own stuff (except during QA where I may use it for an hour or two at a time), the oldest machine I use in QA is from 2005
Code:
hp dc7700 (c2d-e6230, 8gb, amd/ati rv610/radeon hd2400 pro/xt)
Until has year it had a less RAM (RAM size has varied over the years; finally last year it was topped out) and a different (nvidia) video card (GPU has changed a number of times), and the CPU was upgraded long ago (from pentium D if I recall correctly, to what's in it now), but it has run all supported releases of Ubuntu (and especially the lighter Lubuntu & Xubuntu flavors).
( my primary box runs noble/jammy in dual boot, my backup box runs mantic/jammy, but both are more modern than my oldest machine I'm mentioning here. The hp dc7700 is mostly having 22.04.4 installed on it currently; or Ubuntu noble/24.04 in its primary role which is for QA install testing)
