I am having the same problem with a HP Compaq 8510w.
The wireless worked beautifully with Hardy, but fails miserably, disconnecting every minute or so with Intrepid.

It keeps reassociating with different access points. The university I am at has many access points with the same SSID. Could this be a problem?

If anything else would help, name it. I would like this resolved.
